RemARKably Creative Blog Tour - April: Underground Suite

Welcome to our Blog Tour! The theme is the Underground Suite. To me that means GUY CARDS!

For my card I used the Stamp Set, "Urban District". Unfortunately, it was announced this week that it was retiring! I really fell in love with the Where is Waldo-like pictures on the letters. For the background, I used the Brick Wall embossing folder. I used a Tarnished Foil technique that really gives the bricks some texture!

For the tarnished foil method, I embossed silver foil through the Big Shot with the Brick Wall folder. Run a little test sample through to make sure you have the brick side "out". Ask me how I know.

Then I smooshed some Black Stazon ink (also retiring!) on it and let it dry. I added spots of Versamark and then copper embossing powder and heated. I repeated the last step with black and gold embossing powder.

I colored some of the items in with my Stampin' Write markers. I think Dad will enjoy it!

The Sky's the Limit!

January 4 is the first day for the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration! Here's a card I made to celebrate!

The secret in this card is the cloudy sky. I used the smallest flower from What I love. I stamped it with Smoky Slate, first stamping it off once or twice onto scrap paper. The dots and circles are from the Timeless Textures stamp. The plane is fussy cut and applied with dimensionals. He is truly flying high!

Here's a closeup:

The card uses two FREE stamp sets: The Sky is the Limit is only available through February 15th. The What is Love FREE stamp set is available throughout Sale-a-Bration. The Timeless Textures stamp is available in the new Occasions catalog.

Father's Day

Yea, it's early but I had to make a card with the mustache punch and the bow punch! The new Crazy about You stamp set is so versatile! I saw this idea on Pinterest from Tamara Bartam and thought it would go very well with the new bow punch! Quick and easy and a great man-card.
