Window Boxes
I enjoy planting my window box. It's so much easier to plant one in stamps. Here's a quick one with the new Sale-A-Bration Flowering Fields stamp set.
I cut out the window sill from the Hearth and Home Thinlets dies and stamped some of the leaves on it first. Some of the leaves I stamped off first. I masked the card where the window sill would go and stamped the flowers. I tried to make it somewhat symmetrical. I did ink with my Stampin' Up markers.

RemARKable Blog Tour - January 2016
I LOVE this new Rose stamp in the Occasions catalog! I have tried just about everything with it - as you'll see if you follow my blog for awhile. Today's example uses Zentangle. Zentangle is a new-fangled word for doodling. There are lots of great books and web sites about it, but it's really what you used to do when you were bored in history class (at least that's when I did it).
Stampin' Up has a Project Life Journaling pen that works well. I suggest you stamp some roses on a sheet of paper and bring a pen with you the next time you are at a doctor's office waiting room or watching TV (like your husband's sports program to appear interested) or the train ride into work. Just experiment. You cannot fail - it's only a doodle!
Here's my example below. It's really just a simple white card with a black and white insert. I photographed it on navy for contrast.

Have fun with this! I can't wait to see your examples!
The supply list is pretty simple for this one. However, it would qualify you for a free item during Sale-a-Bration! What are you waiting for? (By the way - get the Sky is the Limit before it goes away! - see my blog post for a really unique card!) - here's a picture of it! (Hint - it uses THREE new stamp sets!) check it out!
Back to roses - here's what you need to have on hand:
Now keep going on our tour - these crafters are truly remARKable!

It's going to be a great week!
I just love sunburst cards. They are a lot of fun to use in the backgrounds and they just make me happy!
Here's one using the new Sunburst Framelits dies. The trick here is to use the thick Whisper White paper. The fun yellow paper is a new one in the Occasions Catalog. This one's quick and easy! I was inspired by a card Heather Hoffman (she used vellum for the sun ray - try it!).

The Sky's the Limit!
January 4 is the first day for the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-Bration! Here's a card I made to celebrate!
The secret in this card is the cloudy sky. I used the smallest flower from What I love. I stamped it with Smoky Slate, first stamping it off once or twice onto scrap paper. The dots and circles are from the Timeless Textures stamp. The plane is fussy cut and applied with dimensionals. He is truly flying high!
Here's a closeup:
The card uses two FREE stamp sets: The Sky is the Limit is only available through February 15th. The What is Love FREE stamp set is available throughout Sale-a-Bration. The Timeless Textures stamp is available in the new Occasions catalog.

2015 Year End Review
I decided to do a quick look-back at the cards that were the most popular last year. I checked Splitcoaststampers and here's my top 5:
5. Peace
The Woodlands Folder was my favorite Embossing Folder this year. Stampin' Up! did retire it, but it will be coming back!!
4. Quoth the Raven
This card was one of the Splitcoaststampers Favorites of the Week in October. I tried to be artsy on this one - and actually didn't realize that the dead tree was really a branch!
3. Watercolor Winter Trees
I was really in to watercoloring and this was a simple wash between the leaves. I did go in and color the grey marks by hand with a marker.
2. Winter Trees.
Really - did I only do one folder all year? I do love the watercoloring of this one. Maybe I should do more?
And number 1 (drum roll please!): Lotus Blossom.
I love the color combination of the flower on this one!
