Stampin' Up has a Project Life Journaling pen that works well. I suggest you stamp some roses on a sheet of paper and bring a pen with you the next time you are at a doctor's office waiting room or watching TV (like your husband's sports program to appear interested) or the train ride into work. Just experiment. You cannot fail - it's only a doodle!
Here's my example below. It's really just a simple white card with a black and white insert. I photographed it on navy for contrast.
